What I learn while doing it: tools put to the test, wrong turns, and the few that lead somewhere.

01 · How it works here

Tried before
recommending them

You don’t write about a tool because it has just come out. You write after using it on a real job, with a real deadline.

It means less comes out here than elsewhere, and what does come out has already paid its price.

02 · Including when it doesn’t work

The wrong turns
are worth as much as the others

The part that usually goes untold is the one that saves the reader the most time: what I tried and what didn’t hold up, and why.

A method that publishes only the successes isn’t a method: it’s a shop window.

03 · The state of this section

The real posts
are on their way

The machinery is up and tested: from the written file to the page online, including the sources at the foot of every piece.

Right now there are two technical tests, still drafts and unpublished. The first real post takes their place.

Machinery ready · two test drafts · no post published
